problems with steam on OSX

so im trying to play counter strike on my macbook pro. I installed the game but when i go to find servers to play on it gives me this message.

its saying i need to install the beta but the beta is not compatible with the osx.
What can i do to get the game running on my mac?
 
As I understand is the beta is separate from the existing game. So it sounds like you're trying to grab the beta and not the current stable version.

Im not using th beta, i've installed the game and it says i need the beta open to find servers'? any idea how to fix this?

Are you sure you're searching for the correct servers. I believe on the server browser you still have the choice to play the beta though there probably aren't any servers available. See if that's your problem.
 
eh, dont know what it was but i uninstalled/reinstalled steam and cs:s and its workin fine.......
