Problems with Sony CRX216E CD-RW drive...

This came with my Dell computer I got last Christmas. The CD burner worked fine up until recently. I can't burn a CD that will actually play on my car stereo without skipping every second. I have tried 3 diffrent types of software and the disks still get skippy all the way through. I have also tried lowering the drive speed and diffrent disks. What could be wrong?

What kind of car? Chances are it's either your car's headset can't read the format correctly or it's shoddy media.
