Problems with SBLive and UT

When I play UT anywhere from 1-15 minutes into the game my computer locks up temporarily. it repeats about the last 1/2 secound of sound over and over for about 10-30 seconds. Then the game will continue to play. If I'm logged on to another server I will get disconnected from the server(the machine quits sending data while the screen is locked). Then I can reconnect to the server and everything is fine for 15-60 minutes, and it locks up again. I removed all of the PCI cards and installed them one at a time. The problem came back when I installed the SBLive X-Gamer. Does anyone have any ideas on this? I have formatted the drive and reinstalled everything. Here's my config and drivers.

W2K Pro
Abit KT7-Raid - Via 4.25A
Duron 600@600
Leadtek Geforce DDR - nvidia 6.47
SBLive X-gamer - Liveware 3 for w2k
3com 10-100 Ethernet
Advansys SCSI adapter
Quantum 20 Gig HD
Creative 6x DVD
Smart and Friendly CD Rocket Mach 12 CDR

I had a similiar problem with my old Super7 board. Here is how I fixed it.

Although you might think all PCI slots are created equal, they are not. Some of the interrupt lines are shared. Find out which lines are shared for which slots on your board and make sure that your sound card, video card, and ethernet card are all three completely seperate.

You can't do this in windows. Windows will show you only the software interrupts after they have been re-vectored. You will need to ask the motherboard maker.

If you want to take the non scientific approach, try trial and error and move the cards around.

Hope this helps.

well I took all of the pci cards out, moved the sound card to 3 different pci slots before I found one that it worked in. Then I reinstalled the rest of the cards. It works great. Thanks OneEng. I've been workin on this one for 3 weeks now. If anyone else has this problem I put the SBLive in the 4th pci slot. 3 and 5 didn't work.
