Problems with Refresh rate in games

I have a Geforce 2 GTS vid card and I am having trouble getting good refresh rates in full screen opengl/directx games. My desktop refresh is 120 hz. When I get into a game it switches to 60hz even though the game (all games) is the same resolution and color depth of my desktop. In older versions of windows I just selected the "optimum" option from the refresh rate list and this worked fine. But now that I got XP it doesnt show that option. I also can't find any options in the Geforce2 control panel to help me. Anyways heres my setup.

Vid: Geforce 2 GTS 64mb
Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 1200nf
OS: WinXP
Drivers: Latest Detonoator XP

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
 
You need the nvidia refresh rate fix. Sorry I don't have alink at the moment but do a search of the forums and you should be able to find it.
