Problems with range expander!

I bought a linksys range expander to go along with my linksys wireless modem, but I cannot get to the internet through it. It says that I am connected to the internet, but I can't go to any webpages. Is there a trick to setting it up or am I just an idiot. My network is secured if that has anything to do with it.

Connect the range expander to your existing router. (normally expander do not have DHCP!)
Then log in to the expander page and match the wireless configuration with one in router page.
Make sure you know that the expander is a bridge, so you put this in the middle location! (between the linksys wireless modem/router and your wireless computer)
