Problems with PowerDVD and WinDVD

I'm trying to watch DVDs on my computer. The problem is, after about 5 min. of watching, the picture just freezes up. No error messages or anything. This happens in WinDVD and PowerDVD which leads me to think it's a problem with my DVD drive. I've noticed that the DVD drive stops spinning and that's when it freezes up and I'm wondering if it just stops caching or what.

You can click on the link to my rig below to see the hardware I use. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

When the picture freezes is the DVD's drive LED constantly on? What about the LED on your computer's case? And what does the event log say after you restart your computer?

Win XP doesn't have a built-in DVD player that I know of.
Windows Media Player.

"Windows Media Player."

Windows Media Player CANNOT play DVDs without a plug-in that you have to buy. The default Windows Media Player that comes with Windows XP can't play DVDs.

When the picture freezes on the DVD player, the LED light for the DVD drive is off. It's like it just stops reading from the DVD for some reason.
