problems with Plextor 8X Scsi burner and CDRWs

I have a SCSI 8X Plextor burner running on a 2940 Adaptec card and running Windows XP (with all updates and cd burner update installed, along with all new ASPI drivers) however the drive refuses to recognize anything thats a CDRW. I've tried Nero and EZ CD Creator, and both won't even see the drive when there is a CDRW installed. WTF is going on here, anyone have any ideas of something I can try?

Stupid question, but which Plex burner do you have? 8/2/32x, 8/4/32x, or 8/20x...? Obviously the 8/20x drive is CD-R only, and has no support for CD-RW...

Sounds like you do not have the one that can write CD-RW

8x20 only supports CDR's

hmm..I coulda sworn it was an 8x32..but upon looking at it..its only a 20. Bummers, thanks guys.

they made both a 8/20 with no cdrw support and an 8/2/20 (which I have) with cdrw support
