Problems with PCIe 6800GT "Bridge Chip"

Hi,

Do any of you hardware tech experts out there know if there is any side effect of purchasing a PCIe 6800GT, that will be run under load for an extended period of time (aka intensive gaming).
From what I understand, the 6800GT is a AGP native card, and some time was needed to develop some sort of "bridge chip" to make a PCIe version. Will the existence of this "bridge chip" cause any hardware instabilities?

Cheers
