Ok, I built a 2500+ system quite a few years ago, and use a 9800pro (but bought the version that was flash upgradeable to 9800xt) anyways....

I was just playing a game, and my monitor just went blank (power was on to monitor still, but no display)

From then on, when i would turn on my computer, no post beeps came up at all.

When I remove my video card, i get the (what it seems normal) post beep, then a longer beep right after.

I noticed when I plugged in my video card, the external fan wasnt spinning, so im thinking maybe the fan broke, and my video card fried. (was using a vga silencer rev 3)

When I plugged my video card back in, I once again get no post beeps.

Tomarrow I will have access to another video card, but would like some opinions

Thanks

Yup, would it matter if I did it with the video card in or out?

No.

And unfortunetly looks like your 9800p died.

Was it the Connect3D 9800pro? I've got that at the moment, I've downloaded all the necessaries for flashing to xt.

How old is, sorry, was it? Just want to know how long I've got.

9800 Pro's do tend to run very hot even in a well ventilated case, so if anything compromised your system cooling its likely the card did cook.

hmmm, do the video card fans only spin when it is needed? Because I tried an old video card i had lying around, and i have the same problem (nothing booting up, and no fan spin on video card)

Is it probably that my agp / motherboard is bad?
