I had posted on the gereral forum a few days ago with a request for help with a cd burning problem Here as I never got a response on the general forum, and as I now have more info I thought I would try again here. WMP-11 doesn't find a drive when attemting to burn. The drive plays audio cd's and DVD's fine just pop them in and they open the autorun window and work normaly, it apears that windows is just recognizing the drive wrong. I found that I can burn a cd using ImgBurn (ISO of Knoppix) and it works great. However when I try to burn a disc data or music from Windows it will not work. There is a message somthing to the effect that no disc present. I obtained and loaded the newest firmware from LG, as well with no change. I have tried the instructions from MS kb316529 and found drive was set as type 3 and per MS this is incorrect changed to 2 and 1 and although the recording tab is now available in the drive properties and inserting a blank disc changes the drive icon to cd or cd-rw as expected it will not autorun. I have verified that the cd burning service is on, reinstalled drivers a couple times. If I drag a data file to it it will open the burning wizzard and everything works untill you click burn and then it says no disc present. . I would apreciate any advice that you have.
