Okay, In games my computer with out any warning will just reboot. This has been going on for a while now and I'm not sure why. I have tried just about every driver for my video card and that has not helped. I first thought it was my motherboard because I have other problems that look like it might be the motherboard. But I just installed 3D Studio Max 4 and I am having the same problems. I also updated max to 4.2 and it doesn't help.

If anyone has ever had this problem before and could offer some help then please do. BTW I once got some artic silver epoxy on my video card and it would not boot. So I spent many hours with a rag, q tips and rubbing alcohol. And I did manage to clean it off. Could some of the epoxy still be on the card and to be causing it to malfunction some times? It just seems weird that it would screw up every now and then "mainly in Opengl" and no other time.

-Tnx

Sounds like the infamous NV Loop/BSOD error. Check out Viarena.com article "Staying out of the Loop" for possible solutions. Also check TheDDRZone.com and search on Infinite Loop problems. You may want to try older detonator drivers 21.83 or earlier, as the newer ones worsen the problem.
