Problems with Nortons utilities 2001 Pleasa help.

When I try to load nortons utilities 2001 it starts to load and at 3% loaded i get a message that says: An error occurred durring the move data process:-117 any one has a clue what that means and how to get around it...Thanks for any info.....

Make sure everything in the background is disabled like anti-virus(software wise) & try again,if you still get problems I recommend you take it back to the store & buy Ontrack Systemsuite 3 or Fix-it Utilities 3, this package is excellent,IMHO it`s better then Nortons utilities 2001.

Thanks mem for the responce to my problem. what I dont get is I had it work ing on my system for a month and the only thing that changed is now I put in a new mobo but i dont think that should cause the problem..

Is there a Anti-virus program on your MB? If so make sure its shut off.

Yes there is anti virus and it is off........

You could try going to Norton website see if they can help or send them a email, here is theirtech page
