Problems with NFS Underground (Possible Corrupted Disk)

hey all, I just tonight purchased NFS Underground (after going to 4 different stores) anyway, thats a different story. When I try to install it it gets to 4% and then it give me an error message that says "a problem occured when copying file yada yada yada, would you like to try the file again or stop installation", if I hit try it again it will keep doing it (I tried for like 15 minutes) I went through all of the suggestions on EA Games technical assistance site. Nothing works. I also tried making an image with CloneCD, no dice, it got to about 94% and dropped to like .02k read speed. I looked at the bottom of the disk and about 3/8" from the outside of the disk there are small dark lines going agiainst the grain of the disk. Do you think that is my problem or is there something else I can try. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I would try taking it back to exchange it. Sounds like a bad press, they are rare, it's only happened to me once.

Goto the Official NFSU webpage, there is a fix for this problem. You may have to find it on the Message Board, but the problem seems quite widespread and is fixable.
