Problems with newly built rig...

Hi

I have a newly assembled Amd 64 with 6600gt and samsung 793mb 17" crt and altec lansing 251(45watt rms) all running on mocrotek 800va and copmuter powered by antec sl 450.

The rig was assembled on tuesaday .

When RON was running the monitor screen went black and I think the speakers gave a sound as if tyhe computer had hanged.This happened more than once.Same happended with hitman contracts demo.

But I have played oher games like doom3 , ut 2004 demo and this may not have happened then.

What is the problem?

Did you use the drivers from manufacturer's CDs or did you get the latest ones from the web sites?

sound/graphic card drivers came along
monitor drivers weren't put

it is crt

how are drivers related to it switching down

I have Asus A8N-E and corsair value select 512mb ddr 400 X 2 .
Could ths in dual channel create a conflict?

In the user guide it is written that this in dual channel corsair value select is not supported.

Also,why does it happen with specific games only and why not with others?
