Problems with new System Boot (Solved)

Hello,

I recently built a new system, and everything was going fine, I booted from a usb iso out of the bios, I was going through the windows 10 setup, did the custom (not upgrade) install, selected my primary drive, which is a 500gb SSD with about 200gb of data on it from an old build, but then I ran into trouble. I wasn't sure if I should move forward with the installation after selecting it, or if I was supposed to format the drive.

So, I did a quick search, figured formatting was the right option, and I clicked format the drive. It then showed the drive as being all freespace (almost), and I thought great, lets get on with it, I click next, and it tells me there isn't enough space on the drive to move forward. Nothing I do will change it, so I try restarting and trying again, hoping that now it will work.

Now, however, my usb iso is no longer being recognized, and I cannot boot to the SSD of course, and so I am stuck just going into the bios and I cannot install windows. I am beyond frustrated. Did I do something to delete the drivers on the SSD or something? was format the wrong option? Why is it even an option if it just prevents you from using the drive? Is the drive ruined now?

How do I fix this? how can I boot again from my usb and get win10 up and installed?

tldr: I chose 'format' for my SSD on a new windows installation and now nothing works

update:
I can boot to the usb iso again (the boot selection is just hard to find in the gigabyte uefi), but I am still unable to proceed with the win 10 installation.

It keeps telling me that there is insufficient freespace to install win10 while showing me that there are about 456gb of freespace available on the ssd.

Any idea what is causing this?

Where did you get the win 10 ISO from?
I would secure erase the SSD (what brand?), and then install win 10.

Almost sounds like it is looking at the flash drive. Make sure you are selecting the correct drive. You can also try creating a new install stick to see if that makes a change.What controller is the SATA port for the SSD using?

Hi guys, thanks for the responses, I fixed it just by formatting the other partition that's only like 10MB, I forgot what that one is called though. There was an obscure youtube video that showed me, but I don't have it up anymore and can't find it again.

If installing to a new drive delete just select the unallocated space, if reusing a drive delete all partitions on it leaving unallocated space and select that space during the installation from the windows menu and then windows will handle the partitioning.
