Problems with new sound card?

I just installed Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic 7.1 Channels 24-bit 96KHz PCI Interface Sound Card. It sounds great....but for some reason Quake 4 has been randomly crashing. Why would it do this? I removed the old drivers and installed the new ones. Any suggestions? Also on Counter Strike: Source the sound is all messed up. Its really low and just sounds horrible. It sounds great with everything else tho... Music, movies, my other games. Prey demo, Quake 4(when its not crashing), Fear, and WoW.
 
Do you have OpenAL enabled in Quake 4? That always crashed my Audigy 2. (Maybe it was EAX or something else in the sound options, I can't exactly remember. IIRC it was OpenAL.)
