i had a micro innovations cheap wireless kb and optical mouse, it works fine but i wanted a new microsoft one, the desktop combo 3.0...lots of features and a nice padded wrist rest, etc....so my wife got it for me for christmas, really loved it! however it has major problems, the mouse pointer is extremely choppy and freezez up for 2-3 seconds and generally doesnt work right and the keyboard misses letters when i type. now i first thought is was a driver issue, so i needed to reformat anyway and after reformatting the problem is still there. updated chipset drivers and all that, updated drivers for the combo, nothing works....i am using an nforce 4 based MB, so i unhook the MS set, hook up the old cheapo set and it works perfectly....what the hell gives here???i took the MS back to the store and exchanged it for a brand new combo set and still does the same thing...i have tried everything i can think of, new batteries, different batteries, updated drivers....reformatted system, checked the settings in the bios....i dont know what else to try, BTW the MS combo seems to work fine on my other computer, but it got me to thinking it might be an interference issue, but wouldnt the cheapo combo also be affected if it was? anybody got any ideas?
