EDIT; FIXED. changed 'domain validation' in scsi bios to disabled and burned a full cd in 4 minutes. god bless the net.
I just got a Sanyo BP5 (scsi 24x burner).. when i burn with burnrproof at 24x it takes freaking 15 minutes to burn a full CD.. WTH?
When I disable burnproof I can't burn at 24x (I can't even burn at 16x. I was only successful at 8x (which took *10* minutes)). I've tried my Prime Peripherals, my Kingston KHypermedia, and some other generic brand/spindal I got from outpost, same thing with all of them. Is this normal? I'd like to think I didn't pay $190 for a 8x burner.
EDIT: also tried using cdrwin, got write error when burning at 24x and 12x with no burnproof, but 24x with burnproof worked (took 15 minutes for full cd)
