Just put together the following:

Corsair 450VX PSU
MSI 7800GT
AMD 4200 X2 AM2
1 x 2GB DDR2 800
DFI Ultra-II M2 MoBo

And the system won't boot. Fans etc spinning, but no image on screen.

I removed the video card, and it beeped to let me know it was out. Removed the ram, and it beeped to let me know it was out.

Put both back in. Reset CMOS.
Re-seated all the bits.

No progress. Still the same problem. No image on screen, and no beeps at all, but CPU faqn and northbridge fan spin.

What could be the problem? Any help appreciated, TIA!

Just by doing a few quick searches, i'm going to say that the mobo does not support your current CPU. The fix would be a BIOS update, but how can you update BIOS.....:-(
To make sure I would check out DFI's website to verify and if true than maybe contact place where ya purchased board or DFI or if you know of someone with an older AMD cpu layin around.
I maybe wrong but thats where i would start.

Besides the possible BIOS issue, if it beeps until the video card is inserted... maybe video card is dead? Did you plug in the 6 pin PCI-E power to the video card?
