all the top movies on my list are long waits
Kung Fu Hustle (long wait)
Downfall (short wait)
Sin City (long wait

wth? Ive never had problems till recently, but now everything is on wait, its really annoying

anyone else had problems recently?

Update: 3 weeks later
Kung Fu Hustle (short wait)
Downfall (recieved)
Sin City (long wait)

UPDATE: 4 weeks later
Kung Fu Hustle (sent)
Sin City (long wait)
I have recieved at least 4-5 movies since last update

Update 9/19:
I have emptied my queue except for Sin City, Hitchikers Guide and Fever Pitch...the first is now finally a short wait the other 2 are long waits...if i dont get at least 2 of the three by next wed. I will switch to blockbuster...even if it has a longer turnaround time, i can pick up movies i really want at the store for free

still havent gotten either...guess netflix isnt for me...I love their service, but every once in a while there is a movie i want to see as soon as it comes out "Sin City" in this case...and its been so long since its been out and I still havent gotten it...guess its time to try blockbuster, i will take an extra day turnaround time since netflix put me as a "frequent renter" anyway and was holding my rentals an extra day

in the past 3 months, we have had 2 never get back to them after we sent them

they haven't said anything yet, but i don't like that it appears we didn't send them when it was the mail or netflix that lost it

they don't care unless they start to see a pattern.

Shipping has been a little slow lately though.

I used to be able to manage 4+4 every week

Now I barely manage 4+1 or 2

Yeah...its been really hard getting new releases lately. I use to be able to get them when they first came out, but now i still have stuff that has been out for almost a month and they still never came in.

I havnt had a problem yet, but I usually buy the movies I really want anyway *Sin City and KF Hustle for example*. It still beats going to blockbuster in my area. I can never find anything in stock there anymore.

I definetely noticed that delivery is a bit slow these days. I am glad I am not the only one. And two times they never received my returns.

I still get all my dvd's in a day (living next to a dist. center doesn't hurt)

AFAIK, netflix USED to put you at the bottom of the queue for hot movies if you rented way too many movies. They give all their "casual" renters all the top picks first and shaft the hardcore users

I haven't had any problems with them at all (going on 2.5 months or so). They're a lot better than the free month of Blockbuster I started with.

A good way to increase your chances of getting a new release when it's release is to put it in your queue way before the release date.

And yea, they've been pretty slow lately. Not with sending new ones but receiving my old ones. I would send them back on a Monday and according to my email they wont get it til later that week like Thursday or Friday.

I used to get them 2 days after i sent them, send them monday get new ones wed.

now even if i send them monday and they say they recieve it tuesday, they say shipping wed.

i dont get it, if u have it set tuesday morning send it out

and plus the fact i have trouble getting new movies is really annoying me...

If they continue to slowdown mailing you DVDs do you eventually get off the frequent renter list by default.

I never did "burn and return" so my service has always been snappy -- mail a disc on Monday, the next one arrives Wednesday. I should be getting Sin City today.

Is there anyway that you can see if you are on the frequent renters list?

We average about 6 movies a week

I'll watch Kung Fu Hustle tonight and return it in the morning. Maybe that'll get you to "short wait" :)

Postal workers got smart and started stealing them on the way back instead of on the way out. Less ruckus from the customers then.
