I've been getting audio problems with my GT730 while playing light games. (GTA SA, War Thunder at very low settings, Call of Duty 2 is getting hammered down to 5-20 fps, and somehow even osu! is affected.)

Also, The driver tends to crash every time the system boots from desktop (381.78) and continues to crash at some points. But what's more puzzling is that the earliest beta driver (340.43) for this card is better than the said newest driver. It haven't crash at all ever since I installed the old driver, But the audio problem still exists.

For comparison, My old R5 230 with stock drivers works out of the box. And audio works just fine. It's also not that the GT730 is low end, as the R5 230 is 3x slower.

For my PC, It's an Optiplex 755 SFF with an Q6600, 4GB DDR2 and GT730 GDDR5.

There are newer drivers from NVIDIA. Have you tried those?

Which GT 730 do you have? The Kepler one or the Fermi one?

SFF with a Q6600 and a GT730? Could it be a PSU problem?
I think it's not the PSU , Since other people even managed to fit in a 7750 on the same setup. I also used an C2D E4500 before and the problem is the same.

It's the Kepler one, 2GB GDDR5 64bit 384c. Also, The new drivers crashed a lot, even throwing in a blue screen with *TDR_VIDEO_FAILURE*.

This is a known driver issue. What OS are you running? If it is Windows 8.1 or older, I would suggest you try with version 347.88. These are the most stable drivers for Kepler cards on Windows 7 and 8.1.

I am using Windows 8.1. Will try installing it. Still wondering if it would fix my problems at other games. Like how old Call of Duty 2 is, I'm pretty sure it should run well. But all I get is a stutter-fest.

Also, I just noticed something. My GT730 has an IRQ# of (16) and has other 4 devices with the same IRQ#, while my R5 230 has IRQ# of (-1) and is the only device with that IRQ#.

Seems like corrupted video/driver files.

I'd do a repair of windows, you can enable the boot to options from the bios or just boost from your windows DVD or UBS, then use the repair option.

Also do a clean install of the graphics driver.

I just tried 347.88. No crashes so far, But the audio problem and others are still there. (I also used DDU to uninstall AMD's and NVidia's drivers.)

I'll try that, Though I might probably try to use Windows 7 first to see if OS'es has a reason for these problems.

Guess it's time to backup things.
