Well when I try to play c&c renegades, the sound skips linda like trying to listen to a really scrached cd in a cdplayer without anti-skip. plays for a few seconds and cuts out and keep doing that. does the same thing in matt hoffman but in both games the sound effects play normally, anyone have this problem?

No problems with renegade here..it plays fine on my SC. Make sure that the card is plugged into a pci slot that is not shared also try changing the sound driver for the game...eax, directsound etc.

what sound card, if any, did you have prior to the TB Santa cruz? Some cards, ie the SoundBlaster series, leave dregs of their drivers in the registry even after fully uninstalling the drivers. If old remnant drivers are the answer, you might need to format and reinstall your OS. Just a thought.

Try to slow down the PCI settings (turn off dynamic bursting or something like that). Do you have the latest WinXP drivers for the Santa Cruz?

What PCI slot is it in? Is it sharing an ICQ with anything else?

nope itsnot sharing and IRQ .. lol couldnt elp but laugh at that.

I do have the latest drivers. My question is would over clocking my FSB make it do that? I have it at 140MHz, I would turn in down but I am not at home right now.

Hmmmm... might be an issue with the game itself. Best to contact them directly or wait for a patch.
