problems with my Tatung Ultra 10 and an Elite3D M3 vid card

i took this Elite 3D M3 video card out of my Ultra 60 machine which was replaced with an M6. the card was working w/o issue in the Ultra 60. however, i'm getting no video when i power the Tatung machine.

yes, the M3 is does work with an AXi motherboard. any ideas what's causing the problem?

If you take the board out does the machine power on fine? (Might be a silly question to ask a techy, but bear with me )
Is the card seated correctly?

EDIT: Read things wrong. Ignore this post until there is an edit 2.

EDIT2: The machine powers on fine, just no video right?
Did you install video drivers for the card?
Have you checked the OBP to see if the card shows up (can't remember if there are video options in there or not)?
Does the original (onboard?) video still work?
Can you use a serial cable to see if there are errors?
Can the monitor support the resolutions the card wants (grasping here )?

ummm... the system is a bit flaky... that much i'll admit. however, the old ATI video card works w/o issue. i took the M3 out and reseated it, but that didn't do anything.

i have the lastest OBP installed. the monitor does support the resolution/refresh rate (the card worked on the ultra 60).

any other ideas?

With both video cards in the machine, can either give you video? Do a search for info on 2 video cards in Solaris on google. I know I've seen some stuff (possibly on the sun manager's mailing list), but I can't remember any solutions.

the ATI gives video... the Elite 3D does not.

well this sucks... i guess i'll just auction off the Elite 3D. :/

You might want to try the sun-managers mailing list. It seems to be a GREAT place to get sun help. If you do try it, and get an answer, post it here. I'm curious

no need for the serial exactly... i have the standard ATi vid card that came with the board that works. i was hoping this Elite3D card would work. :/

Yeah but just to check what it says when the Elite card is in there, if anything at all.

Did you look at the OBP? There is some switch in there about multiple video cards.
