I upgraded from ME to XP. I've got some problems but they are all overcomed, excepted one little.
I've a Sound Blaster Live! Value soundcard with the latest drivers from Creative for Windows XP. On my soundcard I've my computer speakers plugged and my sound system. When I go in Audio HQ and I choose "Four Speakers" or in the multimedia section of the Windows control panel and I choose "Quadriphonic speakers" (the two softwares are working together anyway), everything works fine, the sound from my games or from my mp3 or anything else comes from the four speakers. But, when I reboot my system, the sound from my computer only play on my computer speakers. When I look in Audio HQ, the choice is to "4 speakers" but I have to choose one more time the option to "wake up" my sound system and to make work my sound system output. Something that I had not to do with Windows ME. I removed Audio HQ from my system and I chose "Quadriphonic speakers" in the multimedia section of Control Panel, and nothing happened, I can only put the sound from my computer in my sound system by using Audio HQ.
On the Creative support section of the compagny they say that the XP drivers have some problems with speakers output. Maybe I'll have to wait for another version of the XP drivers? What do you think? Do you know somebody who have XP and a Sb Live! and that everything works fine with the four speakers?
I can put the sound on my soundsystem, but when I reboot my computer, I have always to adjust manually the 4 speakers setting. I switched up my computer speakers with my soundsystem in the souncard output to see if that was my soundsystem the problem and the same problem happened. The computer speakers were not working when I was rebooting my computer.
That's my problem. A problem that I didn't have with Windows Me before to upgrade to XP. Do you think that I can do something to overcome my problem? Or do you know someone who have the same problem who would be able to help me? Thanks to anybody who will give me a solution to my problem!
