Problems with my Sony Handycam!

I can't get the videos or pics of the cam and on to my compuiter. I've tried both USB and Firewire. Its weird.

However, I can get a live feed when its connected to the computer. Why is this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. The model number is DCR-HC26.

Or an analog video capture card, if you'd rather do it crap style.

Do you have it connected via USB or something?

is there a menu setting that sets whether the firewire port is being used for input or output?


IIRC, my trv22 has a setting for this...
