problems with my own FTP server..

I have a own FTP server so my friends can upload and download to me...

normally I use Serv-u FTP, but sometimes it is going wrong, and there is then a timeout....

To try another one, vermillion FTP and bulletproof FTP (also know as G6 FTP), but when ppl want to upload things it says that it can't write... But in setup for users I check the write button.. 🙁

what can be the problem.. I have also a firewall running but when I shut it down the problem stays...

Or do u guyz know a program, which I can setup with more accounts and to set directories?? Let Me Know Plz Plz Plz Thnx I Hope

- I am running windows ME, but with win98 SE i had the same problem....
- As firewall I have the one which is included with norton internet security 2001
- LOL 😀 I have STILL 10 GB free

can it be the problem of my friend...

can it be a timeout to update your cache? (which a ftp client and or a server does??? )
