I just got my new GeForce 2 pro 64 mb today, and I've been having problems getting it to work on my computer.
specs -
Athlon 500mhz
128 mb ram
win 98se
SB Live value

The problem is my computer freezes after running for about 2-3 minutes. I ran dxdiag and disabled agp texturing and this seemed to help. However, I'm also not getting that much better performance with my geforce 2 than I did with my TNT 2. (I get around 30-40 fps on ut in 800x600x16 w/ high everything)

Well I would have to say that first off, your 500Mhz CPU is contributing to the lack of performace as it's the bottleneck of your system. Next when you installed the card, did you remove all old drivers, set the video mode to standard VGA, and then installed the lastest drivers?

Yea, you should be able to just remove the previous NVIDIA drivers through the Uninstall Add/Remove window, and if you want to be doubly sure just delete all entries in the registry that have NVIDIA or the name of the company of either cards, and also delete anything relating to them on your HD. Then set to VGA (should be set to it anyways at that point) and install drivers normally. THats what I did, cause I made that same booboo :) Also, make sure ya got the newest VIA 4-1!! 4.29 makes some good improvements in AGP...also disabling AGP 4x might help you
