We have a linksys 4 port router in our basement. I got a netgear wireless router for cheap on amazon and wanted to use it as an access point with a switch.

I followed the guide here http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html

DCHP is disabled on the netgear router, netgear is connected from port 3 on the linksys to port 1 on the netgear. Netgear has a static ip address of 192.168.100.151 (changed from 192.168.0.1) and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway of 192.168.100.1 (dchp address of linksys router) I manually entered in the dns servers.

I cannot connect to the netgear wireless router anymore to change settings. It does work wirelessly at the moment, but it isn't locked down at all. How would I get access to the netgear router to change its settings?

Internet works, I'm posting wirelessly on it right now, but I want to be able to get back in and lock it all down.

When you log into the linksys router, does it show 192.168.100.151 as the address of the netgear router (assuming the linksys router has a page that shows all the connections currently active)?

As a last resort you can reset the netgear router (push in the reset button in the back with a pencil) and start over. I have 2 routers configured similarly to yours. When I was setting them up, I kept screwing up and getting locked out of them. Took me a few tries and resets to get it all set up right.
