Problems with my monitor

Whenever i play warcraft or any high level game i can play for a while but then all of a sudden my monitor goes black and i get a blue message that says shutting off in 5 seconds.. the same message i get when i shut downt he computer... so a few seconds later the monitor shuts off and goes into its powersave mode. i wriggle the mouse to try to bring it back but it wont work so i i have to turn off the monitor and then turn it back on. When it comes back on i get another message this time saying check signal cord.

i have the Viewsonic p95f+ with a Saphire radeon 9600 XT

Any help would be greatly welcomed
 
i updated teh recent drivers thats not the problem... check the cable for damage and it seems to be fine. Both connections are screwed on tightly. i dotn know what it could be
 
try using omega driver for your graphic chip. use google or else since i think the owner had moved from his old site. omega driver is most of the time better than the original driver, i think.
