Problems with my LCD after spray-painting....

I took my NEC 1500M LCD monitor apart to prepare for spraying...

After spraying my LCD monitor's casing with a couple layers of Krylon Fusion (black), I put it back together, and it worked perfectly.

After returning from a LAN party yesterday (about a week after I painted my monitor), there's this white line thingy that goes across the top of the screen.

Actually it's several lines, about 20 of them are faint and very thin, and in the middle of them is a larger white line that is somewhat noticeable. When I move windows around, the larger white line sort of changes color, depending what's near it. All of these lines are at the top part of the screen, and they stay even when i use different programs like Counterstrike, Warcraft3, Word, etc.

I've taken my monitor apart and back together again, but it's still there! I know it's not the vid card since i tested it out....

help..... =(

Congratulations. You've overflexed your very first TFT screen. A common problem with laptops since the top of the screen is used as the open/close point, it's not much of an issue with desktop LCDs since they are encased in durable metal and plastics to ensure their sturdiness.

yu0 = pwn3d your LCD

Evidently bad enough to post this in the wrong forum too. 😛

The initial problem was thought to be related to the spray painting of the case I must say....
