Well, i have a broken ass computer. It is a Presario 2700 from 2001. Now, the problem is that the DVD ROM drive seems to have broken. The black thing that you snap the disk onto has dissappeared, and I don't know were it went.

That is so you can see what is going on. On the bottom, the CDRW drive is intact and works fine. above it you can see the DVD ROM drive is missing the little black thing.
Is there anyway to remove this thing from my CDRW drive and snap it onto the DVD ROM drive, or is there something i can use in place of this thing?
Any assistance would be useful as I need to watch a DVD. And also, if I get the DVD ROM to work, will I be able to rip DVDs to my hdd, or only watch them?
