problems with my D-link router

I have a D-link d-514 router and it keeps blocking things. At least I think that is the problem. Anyways I can see the other computers on my network and transfer files and stuff but I can't play games on lan. I used to be able to but I can't anymore. No idea why. And whenever i test to see if ports are open (for emule and others) it says it isn't working. Do i need to open ports or what? I will post pics if you need it to help.

OK I figured out that it wasn't my router blocking my games. I have an Nvidia nforfce firewall that is blocking it. I turned it off for like two seconds and I could play games with all three of my (as in my family's) computers. Our newest one can't play games on lan with the others unless the nvidia firewall is off. What can I do to keep it on and still be able to play games?
And now every once in a while it won't load pages. I have to exit firefox, start up again, a few times and then I might get lucky. At times no pages will load. Sometimes they all run fine. Sometimes I have to click on a link like five times and then it works in a snap. It's very ffrustrating!
