Problems with my 9700

well I was playing a game of Counterstrike when all of a sudden it exited out of the game. then when I reenterd the game as soon as it started my system rebooted. now everytime I go to a 3d program it does the same thing. I did have it overclocked at the time but its was running fine at that speed for mounths before this happend.

in none 3d apps it run perfectly.

I checked the fan to see maybe if that was causing the issue but it was fine also. anyone got any ideas of what might of happend?

try another vid card to narrow down the problem, mobo if possible.

Were you running stock cooling on your card? You might have permanently damaged your video card...try using a spare video card and see if that one works fine...

ok its somewhat heat related it was a somewhat hot day today I opend my window and now got a fan blowing on my case and it runs fine....my CPU was running a bit on the hot side also. going to take off the HSF's tommrow and lap and reapply coumpound to see if that will help at all.
