Problems with MX Duo

Ok I have a bunch of questions and if you fellow Anandtechers could help me out in any way, I'd appreciate it much. Here are some of my observations/complaints with the MX Duo.
1. The keyboard isn't as responsive as my wired one, letters don't come up as fast, but I've adjusted to this fine. No big deal
2. The mouse acts up fairly often. When I'm just using my window desktop, my cursor seems out of control at times. It seems to stop moving normally and the cursor starts to stutter and stays in relatively small area. Sorry if this sounds confusing, but it's really wierd and hard to explain.
3. The mouse in games does not turn very well at times. When I'm walking along in an Halo, it will suddenly jerk up. In addition turning around real fast messes up my orientation. I guess I am not satisfied with my mouse's percision. What was wondering if it could possibly be a hardware defect? I haven't had these problems with my MS Explorer 3.0.

One last question. Should I decide to sell off my MX700 or give it away, I would have to include the base station for obvious reasons. I personally like the keyboard and was wondering if there are any other compatible RF receivers out there. I read somewhere that you could use older Logitech RF receivers with the keyboard, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, thats all my questions. Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if my obversations are consistent with your experiences or if they abnormal.

What surface are you using the mouse on? This can make a difference. Try it on a white sheet of paper, and various other surfaces, see if that improves it.

I have used my boss's MX700 mouse, and that is awesome 🙂 I have the original Logitech cordless optical mouse, and even that, which is less accurate, and much older, is brilliant for me, i haven't had any problems with it. I would keep the MX700, it is brilliant 🙂
