Here is the deal, I am trying to install a 3rd video card in my work computer so that I can have 3 monitors. I currently have 2, but I want 3 because more is better... Anyway, because we kinda overspent our budget, and I don't think my boss would buy me another video card even if she had the money, I had to try using an old Cirrus Logic PCI video card. I put it in a couple different slots, the first was the shared PCI/ISA slot, and that didn't work at all. Then I put it in the PCI slot right below the AGP slot, and that gave me a display, but it was all crappy looking. When I was setting up 2 monitors, I had the same problems with the Cirrus Logic card. I am thinking that the card just does not work at all with multiple monitors, can anybody verify this? If the card is not compatible, any suggestions on another cheap PCI card that will work? I do have a PCI S3 Virge DX card, but that didn't work last time i tried...
The currently available PCI slots are the 1st and 4th, I can try to move stuff around if it will help, but not sure yet if i should.
Here is my current system config:
Intel P3 650mhz Slot CPU
Intel SE440BX motherboard
Matrox G400 AGP single head video card at 1024x768
ATI Rage Pro PCI video card at 1024x768 (3rd slot from AGP)
256mb SDRAM
10gb IBM DeskStar harddrive
Intel 10/100 PCI network card. (2nd slot from AGP)
Windows 2000 Pro
