problems with MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum MO BO

okay... this is my friends comp, he's letting me borrow for an extended amount of time (he's moved away for a while) so im not terribly tech saavy... so im having a little trouble figuring this all out.

here's the deal... im trying to install all the drivers for the mo bo, and now im down to getting the audio driver... i think ive chosen the right one, (but not sure) i download it, it installs... and when it restarts is says "you should install the microsoft bus controller before you install these audio drivers". Then it asks if i wanna restart, im like no.

okay, heres another prob im having... ive got warcraft 3 in the cdrom, but when i click it, the computer goes blank than goes to a blue screen, telling me that windows shut down to protect my computer... and it dumped my memory. ok, it tells me that i need to make sure all my software/hardware is installed correctly to avoid this screen, but i dont know how. Any suggestions Plz?

you might want to post this in General Hardware.

but ... silly Q?... did you try the auto install?.. look in the device manager and see if there are any big yellow ?'s.... and whatever you want to install,... just choose auto install.

ya, i think now ive pretty much gotten everything most important installed with the correct drivers. heres whats got the yellow '?' in the device manager
-1394 Net Adapter (ive been told thats for firewire? it doesnt have a '?' by it, but it has a '!')
-SI Pseudo Device SCSI Processor Device (just has a '?')
-Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller (has both '?' and '!')

it's crazy i know. my friend is into Overclocking and what not, so i decided to restore the defaults in the BIOS incase something there was screwing it up (hopefully he doesnt get upset lol)

possibly another issue... i initially installed incorrect drivers, but have since reinstalled the correct ones. Would that cause a problem? would you guys recommend starting all over w/ the system?
