Problems with MR814 & Intel 2200BG

Hi, I'm trying to get my Dell 600M with an Intel 2200BG nic to connect to my net Netgear MR814 router wirelessly. It shows that the signal is maxed out, but it seems to be unable to grab an IP address. It will just stay at Waiting for the network... I disabled all of the security and limiting by mac addresses features and it still doesn't work. The router has the latest firmware (5.3.05) I've tried the latest nic drivers from Intel's site as well as Dell's site with no luck. The wired connections have worked flawlessly so far however. Does any have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
 
Grr...wtf is up with these wireless networks. There's no reason for them to not be working...yet they continue to NOT WORK! Argh.
