Problems with Mitsubishi 930 SB?

Hi,
EIZO and Sony having buried alive their crts I'm seriously thinking of getting a Mitsu 930 SB, but I'm reading that it's got some worrying defects. It there any truth in the accusation that text gets a bit blurry even at the standard res of 1280x1024? I do need it for coding etc. so it just has to be as crisp as it gets.
I also hear that it makes some an annoying noise of some sort! Can anyone please confirm that?

i am using one right now, the only text blurring i have is at the middle top, its slightly less crisp than elsewhere on the screen.
i am running 1280x960 100hz. i do like the superbright modes and the resolution/hz.
