Problems with Microsoft Virtual Machine (Java) and these forums

All of a sudden I cannot Private Message anymore, the box pops up but is blank, no buttons and in the status bar it says something to the effect of java applet error. I'm pretty sure this happened after I installed the new version on Microsoft Virtual Machine (Build 3085). Of course this cannot be uninstalled Anyone else have this problem (or try this build) and know of a fix?

There is absolutely no java in these forums, so this problem is on your end. No idea what it could be though. JavaScript is the extent of anything remotely relating to java used.

OK, I see pressing the button executes; javascript:winopen('sendprivatemessage.cfm?........etc.

The only thing i can think of is you have the WYSIWYG editor on and something in your IE is not working right. If thats on turn it off, either way something is up on your browser.

Are you running any Ad Blockers? If I remember correctly, Web Washer will block out the PM and Profile function. Maybe others will too.

Hoss, yes did all the standard stuff. Chris no ad blockers. I swear it happened after I installed this MS VM. Someone download it and try it out!

Anyway, initiated good 'ol XP Sytem Restore and 8 minutes later......all is back to normal

PM's have crashed IE 5.5 on a fresh Win2k install on some new p4 1.6 workstations we got.. i hit reply and IE crashes.. but usually the message goes thru

these have the Sun VM i think.

have had no probs on IE 6/XP at the house. ms vm
