hey guys,

I have been reading through the thread and it seems like a lot of you are having the same problem I am. Randomly my computer will reboot, but most of the time the screen will just shut off and go into suspend mode and Im sure the computer locks up to because the hardrive light stays solid. SOmetimes it runs for a couple days staright but then Ill leave it on over night and the next day the screen is blank. Other time sthe instant I boot it up withint 5 minutes it blows me away. To tell you the truth I dont even know what kind of memory is in the computer but its 2 512's of Ddr-400. Can changing the clock speed or whatever you suggest doing hurt the memory? Im scared to try. And how do you know when its right? Thanks a lot in advance for any help you guys can offer.

We really need more info. Please list full system specs, with all information possible. Specifically we need to look at BIOS on the mobo, RAM company & speed, & PSU make/model. Write back and please try to type clearly.
BTW, welcome to AT

Sorry I just got so sick of messing with my computer I forgot to list my specs.

Processor: Amd 64-bit 3000
Motherboard: Asus K8v Se Deluxe K8T800 with no Bios Updates installed
Video Card: Radeon 9700 pro 128mb
Case: Clear case with 450w power supply
Audio: Integrated into mobo
Memory: 2 512's of Pc 3200 DDR 400 Made by VDATA
I'm Running Windows Xp Pro

I'm not sure if this might have anything to do with it but I have been having a bit of a problem with my video card drivers. Right after I installed the control center and drivers for my radeon I kept getting a message that clie.exe failed to load or something along those lines. I read on a forum that I needed to install the .net work framework. I tried both .net 1.1 and 2.0 beta and now I get amessage that says cli.exe encountered a problem and needs to close. Im not sure if these problems are related or not. Thanks again.
