Problems with Lite-ON 24X, Nero, XP and backing up DIVX movies?

I'm really confused. It seems to take forever for my 24X Lite-On to make a backup of my DIVX movies onto CD. Anywhere from 10-15 minutes. What is wrong? I even tried installing the latest APSI layer from Adaptec for XP and it seems to have gotten worse. It doesn't matter which machine I use either it always takes a lot longer than I expect to backup DIVX movies to CD. Are there soem Special settings? I'm using Disk-At-Once, should I use Track-At-Once? My Lite-On 24X is no faster than my Plextor 12X at burning these movies.

Any help would really be appreciated......thanks
