Setting
I was helping someone set-up their home wireless network the other day. He owns the Linksys 4-port BEFW11S4 router. The router sits atop his Dell Dimension 4300 desktop. His Motorola Surfboard 4100 cable modem is hooked up to the Internet port on the router. The Dell Desktop PC is wired to Port #1 on the router. He has a 2nd Dell PC with a Linksys Instant Wireless USB adapter that is about 2 rooms away.
Dillema #1
When I connected my Dell Latitude D800 laptop into Port #2 of his router via my Ethernet cable, I was able to go on the internet with no hassle. However, his first PC (which is directly connected to Port #1) won't load any webpages.
Dillema #2
His 2nd PC with the Linksys Instant Wireless USB Adapter cannot load webpages either. I have loaded the appropriate software (version 2.5) and it still does not work.
Any ideas? TIA!
