Welcome to the forums.

What laptop is it?
What language kboard?
The Number pad on the kb - does the '/' take over the '7' key?
Is the numlock flashing at you? or is it on at all?

Well, its not exactly a new laptop ^^;; It's 1++ years old.

Fujitsu Lifebook s6120, standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Ps/2 Keyboard??
The numlock isnt flashing.. it's only on when u press numblock and how do u know if / takes over the 7.

Hee.. Thanks ^^

Hi slowcoach...................... ;-)

What i mean is the numerical pad is turned on by pressing the numlock key.
This means that the letters that the numerical pad take over won't work while the numlock key is on.

Exactly - what keys are transposed?
does this also happen in safe mode?
Have you got any USB periphs plugged in?
Does this also happen if you boot into command prompt?

etc etc

speak to you soon [ish]

hmm... i'm not sure why..
but its working alright again.. :/ with no signs of abnormalities..

strange lappie

Thanks for all the trouble!
arigato! (Thanks)
