I had two computers connected via a Linksys switch. That worked well.
I added the third from a different room to one of the computers using the USB/phoneline connection with Internet connection sharing.
In the meantime the other died and I had to rebuild. Since then it cannot log onto the other computer as it used to. I have reinstalled everything twice including putting in a spare ethernet card.

What am I missing?

Have you reinstalled the same protocols as before? And do you still have the old drivers and protocols associated with the old card?

Disconnect the computers from the hub, and try to establish connection between the two computers that have USB phone line connection. Once it works add the hub connection and configured it.

There is another way to connect USB to a hub, I know it works with cable USB connection, I don?t know if it will work with phone line USB.

Buy SMC Ethernet to usb module ($35 to $40).

This adapter connects to the hub, and makes one of the RJ45 output into USB out put, then a another computer cab be connected to the network through the computer USB port.
