I know this is not a hot deal. But for those of you who got into this deal, I was wondering if you guys have experienced any problem(s) with this KDS 19" FD Trinitron Monitor.

My monitor is manufactured on Dec 2000. I've it for about 10 days now and everything is going great. Until now, my monitor is not that sharp and crispy as it was. It's not that focused and clear. It's start to blink a little. later on, the texts is not focus at all. I shut it down quickly as the monitor is getting very hot. I also heard some clicking sound from the back. Has anyone experience with this problem. Now my monitor is out of focus. What can I do to fix it? My default convergence is at 50% for H and L. Thanks you for your help.

Try posting it in the General Hardware Forum cause this will be locked soon. There are really good people in that forum ready to help you.

Take this over to the General Hardware or Video forums.

But all I can say to you is return it, it seems like you have been having problems with it since the day you bought it.

I had the same problem with one of the THREE KDS AV-195TF monitors I HAD! These monitors are not as great as people say they are. I finally gave up after the third one. My friend at Bet Buy says that more KDS monitors get returned than any other monitor.

Don't worry, this is EXACTLY the right place. If I had gotten into this deal, I'd want to know the first moment someone thought something was going down.

Thanks for letting us know,

Mine works beautifully, and I've had it for about 4-5 months. No problems whatsoever, and everyone comments on how good the clarity and focus is.

Are you giving it enough ventilation? If not, even the new one you get will have problems.

I got mine August, and it has worked great ever since, I had to mess around with the settings to get is clear, but I love it. I think it uses a Sony tube.

Yes, Sony tube, just like the rest of the Trinitons. Had mine since last June or July...no problems here. Mine is in a nice, open space and only warms up slightly....

Mine does make that crackling and popping sound in the back once in a while, and it does seem to heat up quite a bit, but I haven't noticed any picture problems yet. I guess I should find a way to ventilate better or something.
