Problems with itunes7 skipping/stuttering?

I haven't used itunes extensively before, but it seems to be a common problem without an 'official' fix.. has anyone had any luck gettings itunes7 to work properly?
 
The latest versions (7.0.2) seems to have cleared up the stuttering problem. 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 were horrible in my experience.
