Problems with IE, or Windows... I don't know...

First of all... my Internet Explorer doesn't seem to like to automatically refresh windows. So if I go to a site that I've already been to, it ALWAYS reloads from the last time I was there, so I have to refresh it manually. It's been really annoying and I have no idea how to fix it. I'd reinstall explorer, but I don't think you can...

Secondly... Sometimes, my computer just doesn't like going to some sites. Like for instance... right now, I can't get to www.adobe.com I know it's not the site, because my roommate's computer can, and what makes me sure it's on my computer, is that his computer can access the websites i can't, while we're using the "Internet Connection Sharing" through Windows.

I'm using Microsoft Windows XP Pro
I don't have any firewall software...
I've changed the Explorer settings to only save my history for 1 day...
I don't think I've done too much else.

Anyone have any ideas?

For the first problem, try going in Tools->Internet Options->Settings, and select "automatically" from the options.

For the second problem, you might have trouble with your HOSTS file? try looking this up.

Or maybe the problem is that you have no firewall/antivirus/antispyware, and that your IE is hijacked. Try running the latest versions of Spybot Search and Destroy and Adaware, and install a firewall and antivirus.

Well that's not really solving a problem. I use FireFox too, but you FireFox fans are really sometimes acting like lemmings.

i figured it out... how stupid...

when I said I didn't have a firewall... i waws right and wrong at the same time.

I have PeerGuardian. And it was blocking something from Adobe that wasn't letting me connect to their site.

Oh well... thanks for the help about the pages not reloading.
