Problems with ICH5-R raid software

I have an abit IC7-Max3 and when I try and install the intel raid software (from the abit website) it says I'm missing required hardware. I've installed the INF update for the 875 chipset and I still get the error. Any idea what I need to do to get the RAID working on my system? I'm using win2k sp4.

Don't you need to configure Raid during a fresh install? I've only configured raid a couple of times, using a abit board, and it was always during a next o/s install.
