i just activated the guest account on my machine but whenever i load into it [was doing it to make sure all the requistie icons etc were avaliable for imminet bro-in-law] i set an alert/exclamation message:
"cant load windows service manager
Elbycheck will stop"

what does this mean and what can i do to rectify it so this message goes away?

thanks

Elybycheck is part of clonecd. Sounds like it won't run with the reduced rights of the guest user. You can either remove it from the guest user startup, or check with the CloneCD folks for a fix.

great thanks!

i tried emailing clonecd about something else but got no reply.
could you tell me:
i copied a couple of expensive cds i have with clone cd as backups but if i remove clonecd from my system they wont run - do i always need it installed to be able to run any cd created with it or is there a way to make a copy [protected cds] without having to keep cloncd on the system?

thanks

hhhmm okay how do i change the selective startup for the guest user without the changes applying to all users?

as i suspected, when i tried to enter msconfig from the guest account access was denied and when i do it from my [admin] accont it applies to all users including me?!?!?!😕
