Problems with GeForce2 MX400

Hi,

I need help! I just setup my new PC (Athlon XP 1500+) with Inno3D GeForce2 MX400 AGP card. I have XP Pro on the system. When I try running some games (like Hyper Bowl included in XP Pro Plus!, or Monopoly Tycoon), my PC just freezes during the launch of the game and reboots. Once I am able to go back to XP, the message says the crash was caused by instability with the video card. But when I try other games like Gangsters2 or Max Payne, no problem. I've already updated my motherboard flash bios and my video card drivers, but to no avail.

I hope someone can help me out.

Thanks!

You, my friend, may have fallen victim to the Nvidia Infinite loop bug. A bug which, as far as I know, has no solution as of right now. I hope I'm wrong though.

It only happens with nvidia cards on Windows XP. I'm not sure when I fix will be comming though. Oh, and it also seems to be pretty random as to who it affects. It works fine for some people, others have massive troubles with it.
